Regarding the project of reconstruction/modernization of public lighting in Kali, Zadar newspaper published an article from wich we present a part here.
The project of reconstruction of public lighting is valued totally 1.5 million kunas, out of which 60 percent or 940 thousand kunas grants the Fund for Environmental Protection and Energy Efficiency.
Public lighting in Kali
The implementation of project in the municipality of Kali co-financed by the Fund for Environmental Protection and Energy Efficiency has started – „Reconstruction of municipality of Kali’s public lighting by implementing energy efficient and eco public lighting“.
Savings up to 80 percent
With new efficient lighting, municipality of Kali should achieve significant savings in the bills for electricity consumption for public lighting up to 70-80 percent. In addition to being a lot more efficient, LED lamps lasts much longer, so they come with a warranty of up to 5 years.
The project of reconstruction of street lighting valued totally 1.5 million kunas, out of which 60 percent or 940 thousand kunas grants the Fund for Environmental Protection and Energy Efficiency.
The remaining 40 percent, or about 600 thousand kunas municipality should cover through next six years via savings that will be realized in the consumption of electricity. Since it is planned to replace complete local lighting by the end of November, the first effects should be already felt by the end of this year.
Company Veritas ESCO Ltd. from Split got the job of lighting reconstruction in Kali, and works in the field were done by their chosen sub-contractor – electrical installation crafts Dragan Vidov from Kali.
